32 Inspiring Autumn Photos from Nova Scotia: Aerial, Reflected, Close-up
The colour-changing leaves in fall are famous here in Nova Scotia! Here are my favorite photos: reflected in water, close up, aerial view, against blue sky, and more.
Fall is such a beautiful time of year here in Atlantic Canada! The changing leaves steal the show for sure, but there is more to autumn in Nova Scotia. In the mornings the frost and dew turn the fields into sparkling masterpieces. The water turns red, yellow, gold and orange as it reflects the leaves.
And there is a glow that doesn’t happen any other time of year.
To celebrate all that beauty we are sharing 32 photos of fall colours. We hope you enjoy them, and that they inspire you to get out there and capture some fall colors of your own.

So many colors! I’m partial to red and orange, but they are all beautiful, especially when the sun hits them.
Almost all these photos were taken in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley with an entry-level Canon DSLR. The three aerial photos were shot in Antigonish county, with a DJI Mini 2 drone.
And as a bonus… my favorite road picture from this shoot.

Always loved the red leaves framed against the blue of the sky!
Thanks so much for these beautiful shots. They’re amazing! I live in Cuenca now but am from Pennsylvania, USA, so I’m missing fall. I especially loved the pictures of the red and golden leaves up against the blue sky.
Thank you Jamie!
Cuenca is a beautiful city! I lived there for 3 years. We were in Ecuador for 6 years and I really missed fall. We are back in Canada now and I’m missing many things about Ecuador. 🙂
Thanks so much for commenting 🙂
